I know here in NC radio stations host events called a single mingle, where everyone in the listening area meet where they hold it (can be a hotel conference room or something like that) and mingle around talking to each other and hopefully make a connection.
Call the local radio stations there and ask if they do single mingles. I met a guy at a singles mingle once and dated for a couple of years.
