Check out http://metromix.chicagotribune.com/. You can check on upcoming events (there's ALWAYS) something going on in Chicago!) and search by restaurant type, how expensive somethint is, concerts, etc. Hope this helps!

Depends on the time of the year, Chicago has a lot going on in all weather, Navy Pier is awesome, they have some decent restaurants and bars. If you are having it in warmer weather, Grant Park, if you want to during a fest, they have a lot. There is a great web site for Chicago, I can't think of right now if it comes to me, I'll reanswer.

Casino's Elgin has has a good one. the bars and night clubs in the north west subrubs, Napperville and Crystal lake, dinner in Barrington....Have a good time.
