Lately i've been doing the different types of crunches / ab workouts.
I don't want to go into too much detail about what they are...

But i'm just wondering if crunches / ab workouts alone will eliminate "tummy" fat and form abs. Or if actual fat-burning routines are required as well.

In other words, can you get a 6-pack from doing sit ups / crunches / ab workouts alone?

Curl-ups/Crunches will only build muscle in that area. If you want to loose fat, you would have to eat a healthy diet, and burn alot of calories doing things such as running.

When the body loses fat due to excercise, the first part of the body it strips fat from is the stomach area, so you're in luck. But before the body burns fat, it burns sugar and carbohydrates, so make sure that you don't eat to much of that before you workout!
