At the moment I'm living with my mother due to ilness, and I was talking to a romantic interest onine for about a week. Mom walked in one day while I was opening an e-mail containing some explicit pics of this person, and IMMEDIATELY formed her opinion based on that. I really cared about this person, still do, and were supposed to meet yesterday. Didn't happen; I think Mom's opinion discouraged her from meeting me as we planned, and I have recieved no e-mails or messages from her since. I'm devastated!
This could have been a good thing, and I feel like my mother being so meddlesome COMPLETELY screwed things up--any advice here?

Take it as a blessing in disguise. like you said you have not
meet up with this person yet, now no communication. How
can this be a messed up thing~there really was none.

Think about it.

How did your online friend find out what your mother had to say? Was there a mic on? If I were the online friend I wouldn't want to get involved either. Think of how embarrassed she'd be if the relationship with you continued and she got to meet your mother, knowing your mother had seen those pics of her. Next time do a better job of guarding your privacy and the privacy of those you talk to online, and if your mother happens to see something she shouldn't have, for Pete's sake keep your mouth shut and don't tell the online friend about it, especially not when your mother said something negative!

Another thing, you say you're living with your mother due to illness....who's illness? Yours or your mothers? If it's yours, then that could also be a reason the online friend didn't show up. Sometimes people have enough problems and stress in their lives and don't want to add to it by becoming emotionally involved with someone who has health issues. Not your fault, but we can only handle so much in our lives and we have to ask ourselves if something is really worth it, and this gal didn't want to deal with it and is looking for fun, not something else to worry about.

I don't think what happened was your mother's fault at all. You need to take responsibility for your role in it, and move on. Go find another online friend.

How close friends are you with this guy? If you can, get him to come over and watch wrestling on TV with you. Have a few beers then start acting goofy and wrestle him, and see what happens. If you guys are meant for each other it will probably get a little steamy right then. It's so cool to find out you really like each other, and I hope the best for you. If you can get him to wrestle you be sure and laugh, make lots of noise and beg him for mercy. My b/f tells me when I do that it makes him way horny!

dude, why are you getting explicit photos of someone you just started talking to? if thats all you want i'm sure you can find someone else you "care" about quick enough.
