YOUR undivided attention. Don't let anything divide your attention like a ball game or the horse races or dear old chum or former girlfriend, etc. If there is a real family matter that must take your attention from her she will understand: but nothing short of.

Girlfriends come and girlfriends go and you don't need to buy something that she will have no need of later or that you will have regretted giving. If she is a child of God a nice cross necklace, or earrings or a bracelet with the ten commandments. A bible with her name on it would be a wonderful gift. If you are a child of God you wouldn't regret giving the gift and it is a thoughtful gift that she will remember for years to come. Just her first name like Shirley's Bible so if she didn't want to keep it. it could go to another girl by the same name.

A gift card to her favorite apparel or hobby store, along with her favorite chocolate and favorite flowers.
Take her on a weekend cruise. Fly to the beach for a day. It doesn't cost much this time of year.

Whatever you give her make it very personal.Candy and flowers are kind of cop out.Take her somewhere she's never been and always wanted to go. Perhaps to a concert.Make it her evening, and for God's sake don't buy her household appliances or an ironing board cover.
