this is normal for this to happen you have added warmth to bleached hair the colour ash cancels out the warm tones, orange ect if it is that bad go and see your local hairdresser if you are confident to do it yourself you could either add colour by going darker you dont have to go to dark and keep adding ash based highlights to gradually go back to blond or try prelightner again to take out some more of the orange and then use a light ash blond toner to cancel out any warmth left in the hair in future use a colour wheel it really helps the opposite colour on the colour wheel will cancel out the other colour and vice-versa say for instance you are bleach blond and you add ash based colours they can also go wrong ash brown will go a carki green always use a warm brown, or if you use ash blonde- because there is no colour for the ash to cancel out this can turn grey like ash - gud luck.

never put blond directly on top of a drak color it will not work (obviously) lightening is a processif you want ti back to blonde you will have to go to the hair dresser but you will have to wait for that blonde dyes are corosive to your hair as they are pigment strippers, if you over dye your hair it will become brittle and you will have very fuzzy dry hair! my best suggestion is to use a temp hair color ( the wash out kind) your hair went orange because brown has red pigments in it and red pigments are the hardest to cover. this is the reason that thy tell you to do test strands. Just dont try to lighten at home you will be way worse off then you are now----good luck

to be safe and sure not to make the structure of your hair damage, you are better off visiting a salon and asking for some advice...
When you reduce the pigment in the hair follicle it makes it very porous and certain box brand colours can look so inviting but when they're applied disaster often strikes.
Bleach (peroxide) is the most harsh method of reducing pigment in the hair follicle, although it looks the most effective when processed well it can cause problems when new products are applied to the hair.
So...go an put on a hat and visit the salon, they won't laugh at you, it's their job to make hair good!
Get advise first and if your comfy having them sort out your hair nightmare then agree to let them...
YOU'RE NOT ALONE 1000'S OF PEOPLE DO THIS ALL THE WHILE! x

I would use a semi-permanent color with "ash" as part of the shade, light a medium or dark ash blonde, or light ash brown (whichever shade is closest the the orange). The ash should help to neutralize the brassiness of the orange. I'm in the US so I don't know what is available to you there, but I have used a product called L'Oreal Color Spa with a lot of success for a similiar problem.

I am a hairstylist and if you don't want to go to a salon.. yes i would recommened putting the black over it the only thing that might happen it it will fade faster at the root because it is so light but it won't happen right away.. lol i have seen lots of these mistakes and black box colour is the hardest to get out it will turn red orange and depending on your hair type most likley will break off before reaching the blonde point.... good luck thought! :)

I had a similar catastrophy once, had to dye my hair jet black to get it looking normal again. Shame I looked like Sid Vicious!! I'd say you're better off sticking on a hat and going to the hairdressers. I know it's expensive, but it's the only way you'll look right again.

well for starters you are going to have to wait a few days before trying this other wise you will fry your hair and it will be brittle.
go to for say sally's beauty supply and ask one of the people there to help assist you. just one word of advice leave it in a little bit longer then what they call for. as for i do my own hair and find that this works the best. but all hair is different, once you go dark it is hard to go light again. it took me 3 bleaches to get the black outta my hair.

its becuase you put the second colour on too soon after the first as it takes time to develop, you need to leave it for a couple of weeks before redying, my advice would be to go to a hair salon and ask if there is anything they can do, as they have all the no how

wait one week to be safe cause using too many chemicals can cause your hair to fall out but after a week buy some hair bleach to take all the color out and if that don't work go the old way and put peroxide in your hair.
