I don't know your age, but when I was young I loved watching a good horror movie. Now that I am older not so, I love happy endings. I think in a way what you say is right about desensitizing us to violence. I remember when I saw Lee Harvey Oswald get shot on TV, I actually bent over and grabbed my stomach. Now I see folks getting shot and I can keep on eating my sandwich So it does harden you somewhat, but that doesn't make you a bad person.

Depends on what kind of horror movies you watch. If you like The Grudge or The Grudge 2 then yes you are a bad person, but if you have good taste in horror movies then their is nothing wrong with it. I live to see the next great horror movie.

Depends on the individual.
"All things work to the good for those who LOVE God!"
If one is evil, being desensitized would definitely be a
BAD Thing! But being the Eternal Optimist, couldn't it also
prepare others for the frightening things to come?
The Word says we will see things that make our hearts "fail from fear".
It's like Rock was, Heavy Metal, Gangster Rap. An outlet for most. But more impressionalbe people go off the deep end. But they would find something to go off the deep end anyway, wouldn't they.
There is in fact a Force building up in the Earth created by our own negative energies. That is why people are "snapping" on people for no apparent reason.
But faith in your spirit to survive, a healthy mind, and a little
spiritul work, meditation and prayer, will keep that to a minimum within oneself.

Watching a horror movie and then going out and using a chainsaw on people would make you a bad person, but just watching horror movies does not make you a bad person.
Does my watching murder mysteries make me a Detective? No I'm afraid it doesn't. - Movies are someones imagination put on film, that's all they are. What we do with that, it what we are.
I love the movie Joy Ride, it's the bomb.

Any thing can drive us to violence, not just horror movies.
Horror movies are just a nice extra in life=]
They only make you violent if you are already unstable, i think.

My opinion is no! I LOVE to watch horror movies and I'm not a bad person at all. It's your life so keep on watching them. They are great aren't they? Well, the good ones are.

I do not think that the language in some of those shows is appropriate for a Christian. I also watch some scifi-shows but I do not over-do it. I enjoy watching a few Children's shows with my grandchild and I attend services and BIBLE study three times every week. GOD is more important than anything else in our lives. Keep HIM in mind, read, study, and obey HIS WORD. Have a great day!

Not if you keep a sense of perspective. I find horror movies pretty tame.

They are only movies...pretend. Violence in the world is all too real. Learn to decipher.
