That is a task you will never be able to complete. No matter what the circumstances parents are automatically linked to take their child's part. The best thing you can do is battle your own issues out with your boyfriend and don't involve your parents.

You don't let your parents in on your bf business. They'll automatically take your side and then if you fix things up they'll hate him for whatever reason.
Levae your parents out of this.
