Technically, here in Colorado, as far as state law, you can openly carry a firearm. However, some of the cities/counties may have ordinances prohibiting open carry.
As the previous user stated though, I prefer to carry concealed (legally, I have a CCW permit) anyhow so everybody is not staring at me freaking out.

With the possible exception of NY, Mass, and the liberal cornerstone states, most states and counties allow open carry. Most cities do not.

As with my experiences I had no problems with authorities while in Arizona and Alaska. I carried only because of bears and boars and then when I came into a city,I put it away. even though I could wear it out and exposed, I felt being stared at alot. didn't like being watched, would rather carry concealed.

I know you asked about non-concealed weapons, but the question is, how would you openly carry a concealed weapon? :o)

Maybe a t-shirt saying, "I've got a gun"?
