most foods that are light will keep your brain better supplied with oxygen, thus enabling it to work better, especially after eating. This is why fish is often described as brain food.
However there are certain supplements that are reputed to help the memory directly, chief among these is the herb Gingko Biloba which is widely available and is, in fact, the oldest surviving plant on earth.
It is available easily from Health food shops and various sellers on the net. Type in 'Gingko Biloba' (there are, unfortunately, various spellings) into google and you'll be able to read all about it. It is also highly beneficial for loads of other conditions.
Of course, you have to remember to take it!
