yeah i agree with you. i don't know what is up with people saying he fought a great fight. you'd have to be a true supporter of his to say he did great. i admit he was alright for the first 3 rounds but then started clinching like crazy. and whats stupid is that urango kept getting warned for pushing hatton away everytime hatton would try and clinch him but hatton didnt get any warnings for constantly holding. fighters have been docked points for less holding than hatton. and it wasn't urango's fault anyways, hes slow as crap but at least he came forward the whole time and tried to fight whereas hatton would just look to punch a couple of times and then clinch and have people say look what a good boxer he is.

Yes, Ricky Hatton had an off night because he not only overindulged in Chinese food over the weekend but battled severe heartburn and acid reflux during the fight. I'm not sure if you noticed he was belching throughout the fight leading many people to believe it was due to taking some left hooks to the rib cage area. These blows only served to intensify the heartburn and elevate it to the status of acid reflux from which he seemed not to be able to recover. Ricky needs to be more disciplined during his training and preparation for these fights so as to avoid these adversities from controlling the fight and favor his opponent. Hopefully, Ricky has learned from his dismal performance against an inferior opponent, one he should have beaten easily had he been healthy. A mediocre performance though victorious is not enough for Ricky Hatton who has the skills and abilities, but lacks the discipline, to overwhelm his opponents and become one of boxing's greats.

I pass over Ricky Hatton, I in no way have been given to work out him stay, yet i did have the exhilaration of having a pint of the black stuff with him on the national stadium in dublin, he replaced into over to assist matthew macklin. What a warrior. as quickly as I watch the hatton v mayweather weigh in, which i love to do each and every now and back, i nevertheless get goose bumps, what an ecosystem. No fighter in the international has had or could have the help the hitman had, and im Irish.

He won 11 of the 12 rounds on all 3 judges scorecards against a man who was meant to be a champ, what more has a boxer got to do. I thought Hatton did alright it was Urango who was pathetic and thats why he lost by such a long way.

Hatton's two last fights were pretty disappointing (the one against Collazo was understandable since he was moving up in weight). It seems that as he gets more and more in the spotlight, the less he performs. The thing with Hatton's style is that although he is very overwhelming, he also exposes himself to hits (and his physical style is very draining). Fighters like him usually have shorter careers, and their competitiveness can disappear in a flash (look at Morales' last few fights and you'll see what I mean). Let's just hope he's in a slump rather than the second possibility.
Hope this was interesting!

Get use to Ricky looking very average. He just isn't as good as his reputation. Ricky did well he just doesn't have the power or size to dominate top level completion. Besides this champion is really just a prospect at 17-0. Now 17-1. If he would have been just alittle fast it would have been a fight.

The first round was a bit nice, but as it progressed, I agree it became a bit lackluster. What do you feel about them having to use the heavier gloves now? I think it is ridiculous. How can you expect them to fight at the top of their game whenthey are having to wear the same weight gloves as like, for instance, tyson?

He had a good start and decided to just scrape through the fight with his lead-its a shame as he started so well-he was scared of the opponents power-supporting bouts where good though..

there was no competetion...if urango had kept punching hatton while he was in his open stance..urango could of had more points..the match was completely unbalanced and boring..the fight before was more exciting with castillio winning the fight.
