Sorry to hear that you are suffering. Having know others with ME (and associated disorders life CFS), I appreciated what a struggle it can be.

Nerves can be triggered by many things, and it sounds like yours is what is referred to as GAD (General Axiety Disorder) which is a little like a social phobia - it becomes uncomfortable to leave your 'safe' zone like home. These feelings have some trigger - be that physical or pyschological, so you need to find what that trigger is.

Are you getting embarresed that your ME symptoms make you seem foolish in front of others? Most anxiety is based around feeling out of control or of being seen in a poor light by others.

There can of course be physical triggers. Some ear-infections can cause panic attacks, as can some medication (has your ME medication been changed recently?). Hyperthyroidism (over-production of thyroid hormone) can be easily checked for with a simple blood test.

Deep breathing, yoga, Tai Chi and similar relaxation techniques can help. There are various herbal remedies that have a small effect, like Valerian root, etc, but please discuss them with the Pharmacist before buying them to check and contra-indications with your present medication.

I wish you a speedy recovery xxx

Take a look at changes in everything recently. Start with diet - it could be allergy. Then drugs. Then your environment. Has anything happening to trigger off these feelings. Understanding what has caused it may be the beginning of solving the problem. You sound like you are suffering from insecurity - and need familiarity. That happens after a shock, bereavement etc. but physical factors can make underlying insecurities worse. If you have to take drugs temporarily to control the anxiety try to get one prescribed that has a long term effect - some are very short term and are more addictive. I think I would choose diazapam.

From the symptoms you describe it sounds very much to me that you are experiencing panic attacks, quite severe ones at that.. If this is the case,I'm sorry to say but there there is no "quick fix" solution.. Specialist therapy, and meditation can help but best of all is if you know somebody who has experienced and overcome the same thing... it can be a lot of help just talking to someone who has overcome it, because they know and fully understand how you feel and therefore can offer the most help...Left unchecked panic attacks can be extremely distressing and end up taking over sufferers lives...Please be brave and seek help...good luck

There is a product called Bach's Rescue Remedy, it's intended for use before driving tests, exams, after a shock etc. to calm nerves. Not sure how often you can use it but it's completely natural so can't imagine it would have any side effects. Don't stop doing these things, just keep fighting the feeling, you are stronger than you think :-)

sounds like you're having panic attacks, try to stay calm and take long deep breaths and try to think of nice things. Go back to your doctor and ask to see a specialist. don't feel ashamed of this, thousands of people suffer panic attacks all over the world! (including me) you're not alone! Big hug to you! xxx

you could also try healing, it helped me alot:( national federation of healers have centres around UK & some other parts of the world also),
it's done by laying on of hands& transferring healing energy (from God) to you, it'll heal you on all levels(physically, mentally, emotionally & spiritually). you might heal after one session or maybe longer, depends. But ask your healer how long u need to go.
please go here & type ur postcode for nearest centre,
PS>they work on donations only

I used to have ME, just wanted to add is there sth or someone in your life who is placing unbearable amounts of responsibility on you? wether be it emotinally or physically? ME is drained energy, & if this is happening, that's why you're drained of energy. That's what was with me & I refused to take that responsibility anymore & I got better. I didn't take the perosn out of my life but gave it all to God & said you deal with this, I can't deal with this, it's too much for me.
Yoga, Tai Chi are good also! .it sounds like you're abit anxious, maybe?deep breathing really helps with this; simply do a few deep breathing exercises every few hours, inhale to 4, hold for 4 & exhale for 4
I also use affirmations as I'm also a very anxious person & it helps. repeat over & over as often as u can: I love & approve of myself & I trust the process of life. (I learnt this from a book by Louise L Hay please see link)
Also take a strong multi-vitamin( ask in your local health shop), with magnesium separately on empty stomach in the morning & calcium (separately from magnesium). It helps with anxiety. Also 5HTP is very good but is abit expensive.
also another suggestion is listening to peaceful music, I got one from Sainburys yesterday, for 99p & is really good. (they had them in the sale section), they do different ones, calle shiatsu, colour, etc. Also try HMV (look in New Age section).
hope this helps, lots of luvxxx

you need to try yoaga or some other, calming exercises, i think you are panicking. Try deep breathing, your dr should be able to put you in touch with some one who can help you with this. but try to stop worrying, because inevitably you only worry about things that wil never happen
