terrorism is the 21st century term used to describe things that have been occuring throughout all of human history. There have always been those that resort to violence for any number of reasons.

There have always been those protesting economic inequalities or hatred of others beliefs. The leaders of society have used these for their own political gain and power. The bolsheviks used violence to overthrow the czar, Hitler blamed everything on the Jews. Foreign despots blame everything on the USA and their fanatics believe and act on this information. Even the founding fathers of the USA would have been classified as terrorists as they protested the stamp act and threw tea in the Boston Harbor to protest "taxation without representation".

Terror is a much scarier word- but don't be fooled into thinking this is something new.

Mainly the law makers and the protectors of law should understand the problem of the common man and help him to overcome the problems he/she is facing instead of dragging him to court or threatening him/her because of political interference or money power. This is true as far as many of the terrorism in India is concerned. The people at the authority humiliate the innocent hence he may be forced to think that there is no other alternative except to take arms so as to him to be heard.

2001-07: Those children grew up, and are old enough to take revenge

Not saying that the first gulf war had anything to do with 9/11, but America's agressive foreign policy does...

a good step is not to invade other countries such as iraq
fair trade, fight against poverty, human rights respect, etc. are other good steps
allowing people their own way of life (muslims included) would be a good step as well
the first step is to show that we are not criminals, then we could tell others what civilization means
