The fact I went travelling with my boyfriend for 15 months a few years ago. This included OZ and NZ - both I always thought I wanted to emigrate to.
Don't get me wrong they are both amazing but the only way I would emigrate is if my lifestyle would be different. And from travelling I realised that just going somewhere else doesn't automatialy make your lifestyle different. For instance in Sydney I did a similar job to home and life consisted of working, coming home, having tea, watching a bit of telly (as we were saving up) and bed as up early next day. Therefore every day life was just the same except no family or close friends there. Plus I wouldn't want to start my own family in a different country as I would feel isolated.

I actually did when I was 19. I am from the USA, and I left with USD 300,- in my pocket and moved to Germany. 15 years down the line and I've lived in Moscow, Lagos (Nigeria) and at the moment Manila, Philippines. I hope I never have to live in the US again - there are so many nicer countries to live in!

I was born in sydney Australia but have lived over here since i was 5 months old.I could go back if i wanted to but i dont.I have my work,home and friends here,but who knows,maybe one day i will have had enough and just go !

think we all have feelings like that sometimes...but, its nice to go on holiday for a couple of weeks - and excellent to come back - theres no place like home!!
