No! Your Lab is well equipped with what she needs to take a long winter walk. Salt sucks but I think she'll get used to it...try walking somewhere where there is no salt...

Only 1 of my 3 is really comfortable wearing boots - she walks just like normal with them on. My other 2, however, act like they only have 2 good legs and it's too hard to keep them on. What you can do is try to get her used to them, but if not, do what I do, just swish their feet around in a pail of luke warm water when you get home to get all the salt and sand off. Towel dry and they're good!

yes it is.....you never know what is out there and what else they mix with the salt or sand for de-icing..all types of chemicals..here in Texas they have a liquid de-icer they spray on the roads and sidewalks..who knows what's in that and then the animals lick there paws...ii would invest in top quality set of 4 boots so they last longer and will hold up to washings do not tumble dry them..i air dry mine...they go past the knee stay on with velcro...if you only put them on your dog when you are ready to go for a walk s/he will adjust...they will think of it just like you putting on your winter coat eventually
P.S. scroll down page to sizing chart to print

I bought boots for my dog and although the fit was good, the dang things kept slipping off her feet. I think the boot thing is a waste of money.

don't walk her in salt,, it is very bad for the dog..... you could try boots for your dog,, but, uuummmm labs are not dainty and she is probably not going to like them,, but as with anything else, patience and training and you will get her to wear them,,,, but i say walk her elsewhere.

You can put Vaseline on the pads of their paws so the salt wont burn & crack their paws. I raise dogs &we do that if they wont wear boots
