Hey, I was watching Planet Earth eariler today and there was a bird on there that was mostly black, it had a blue stripe. The bird cleaned a few branches then called a female bird over. It then proceeded to impress the female bird by doin a dance, and spreading itself out. The blue stripe then looked like a huge mouth. I know this is a vague description, just wondering if anyone could please tell me what the bird was called. Thanks very much!

Hey everyone, and thanks loads for the replies! I'm sure this is the bird I was looking for. Just trying to find a picture of it with its wings spread and doing its dance.

Thanks again!

What you are describing was the riflebird of paradise, there are several types and they come from south east asia.
