Changing or reforming ones beliefs is a fools errand. If a whole docrinte of belief can be changed to fit with a given situation, it invalidates the whole lot of it. Religion is rooted in lack of logic and reason. it relies on faith, which is believing without proof, which is to say believing for no good reason. If you can change that, I will personally worship you.

Religion is just people's way of getting closer to God. Religion is a tool. There are LOTS of religions. The religion I belong to - Religious Science - is very open at the top and forever changing and transforming as time goes on - because the world changes. Actually - I think a lot of religions change. Even the Catholic church makes changes.

In regard to the "need to reform all religions and change them" - I can't really say - because I am not familiar with all religions. Maybe there is a religion that is just perfect for all of the people who are using it as a tool to get closer to God.

I do think though - in life - that's important to keep an open mind. And I hope that the leaders of all religions everywhere, are doing that.

Namaste!

No, I don't agree with you. There is nothing wrong with any religion. So question of reforming them does not arise.

Yes, there is a need to reform the followers who misinterpret religious teachings, create problem for others and put the blame on religions.

For one there are too many beliefs and doctrines that have absolutely nothing to do with what should unify all religions - the bible. Many have added or taken away as pointed out in Revelation 22. If all religions followed what the bible said then we wouldn't have crimes, sexually transmitted diseases, wars, etc. The whole earth would be at peace because all would be glofifying God and not man, or invisible forces.

Reform I don't think that's what we need, we need people to come back to the basics of every religion which Is to love God, and not use your religion to promote your disatisfaction with the world. Gosh! my neighbour wronged me, so now i'll promote a new religion that will allow me to go after them based on the terms of my new religion.

All religions are constantly reformed and modified. E.G. the bible totally supports slavery but ask a Christian if they nearly always don't.
Morality does not come from Religion, Religion gets its morality from society and it has to constantly evolve to keep up with the times or another new one will take over.

Not necessary. If you can follow the principles strictly. All the religions in the world believes in peace, love, harmony, and the best of human needs. Terrorists or fanatics are not real followers of any religion. They want spoil the society by misusing the religion's name.

First, "religion" is man's way of trying to simplify true supernatural awe and wonder into little, measureable steps. Philosophies shared among true seekers of wisdom will always be welcome. If you need "steps" laid out for you (i.e... you must go to church here, you must be a Christian, Muslin,Hindu, Buddhist, etc), you're probably already trying to find a cheap way out of working at it.

Jesus wasn't "religious". He questioned many things his contemporary leaders told him he was supposed to act like. He was truly a rebel. He wasn't "religious"-- he was spiritual. If we pay attention to what he did while he was here on the earth, you'll see it's probably best NOT to be religious. But keep your heart open and your brain engaged. Jesus taught us LOVE is the answer. His followers down through the ages screwed that all up. Don't pay attention to what the misguided followers have done.... pay attention to the simple rule of Love.

opportunities that it (Buddhism) is "genuine" is extraordinarily much nonexistant, considering that's expressed in words, that are of a diverse nature than fact. even though it works, i understand- I prepare it. opportunities that each and all of the others are fake are significant, on account that in addition they use words, however the probabilities that none of them artwork is extremely low. lots of them have mentioned the somewhat some comparable issues Buddhism has, and stepped forward comparable ideas for dealing with it. Taoism, a lot Hinduism, some Paganism, Sufi, and a few Philosophers like Epictetus, for example. i've got even run for the time of a few Christians that have made a number of progression, however they experience obligated to hold directly to a touch awkward explanation of ways it got here approximately.

They say to many chefs in the kitchen spoil the broth. It's the same with to many religions spoil the teachings of the Bible. We need to go back to the basic teachings and stick to it, not change things because we don't agree with what it says.
We have to many religions because we make changes that pleases us not God.
We need to see what God requires us to do and do it and worship Him the way He wants us to worship Him.
