It would have been interesting to see Martin win the points championship last year. He could have been the first champion who never won a race and that sure would have changed the way the points are awarded. We need more points given for winning a race, second place is the first loser!

I've been a Mark Martin fan for a long time. I was pretty upset that he went to drving a stupid chevy. Of course it really wasn't his fault seeing as how nascar hates anything that isn't chevy. I mean give me a break Roush has 5 cars and then nascar makes up a rule where you cannot have more than 4. What is that? Mark had to run a full schedule in order to get back into the 6 car. I guaruntee if Dale Earnhardt Sr. were alive and he wanted to run a partial schedule in the 3 car they would have made up a special rule that he could. Nascar should remove Chevy and Toyota for that matter for good.

i have been a Mark Martin fan for a lengthy time period. i become exceptionally disillusioned that he went to drving a stupid chevy. for sure it really wasn't his fault seeing as how nascar hates some thing that isn't any longer chevy. I mean provide me a smash Roush has 5 autos and then nascar makes up a rule the position you may't have more advantageous than 4. what's that? Mark had to run an finished agenda with the intention to get decrease back into the 6 motor vehicle. I guaruntee if Dale Earnhardt Sr. were alive and he had to run a partial agenda contained in the three motor vehicle they could have made up a particular rule that he might want to. Nascar ought to get rid of Chevy and Toyota for that count number for strong.

Why would anyone be mad? Just happy that he's gonna be out there racing! Martin's 20 Nextel Cup points races and three special events this season will be in Chevrolets, and Martin also plans to run a handful of Busch races in Monte Carlos; he also plans to do at least two Busch races for Roush in a Ford Fusion, plus at least six Craftsman Truck Series races in a Wood Brothers/JTG Racing Ford.

I am a Mark Martin fan, he is a true gentleman, and am just happy that we will be able to see him race. As for the Chevy, I like Chevy's anyway so no problem here. Good for Mark that he is going to spend time with his family.

Yeah it's cool he's driving for Chevy now. I wont feel so silly for having a Mark Martin/Ford sticker on my Chevy truck. LoL! I'm just curious as to how that will effect his Ford dealership in Batesville, AR. I just wish those younger drivers would learn a little RESPECT and quit acting like children on the track.

I think it's great. I've been a Mark Martin fan since the '80's. Just glad to see he's still out there running with "young guns."

Sad he left to go to another racing organization but Roush didn't think Martin was actually going to leave. Martin is a great driver and is a legend.
