I'm sick of buying cheap shampoos and conditioners that are ruining my hair! Money no object, what is the absolute best line of hair care products I could go get from a salon or beauty supply?

Thanks, everyone.. I actually don't perm or color my hair, and it's short, so I'm easy. My daughter has long naturally curly hair and that's much tougher to care for. She won't come near it with colors or anything else, still tough to keep looking nice.

Joico, because they use human hair keratin protein. They take healthy hair (usually japanese, who have among the strongest healthiest hair in the world, they grow it long, then sell it) and they chop it up fine and spin it in a centrifuge which extracts the keratin and they add this to their products. Human hair keratin is exactly the right molecular weight to repair damage, the silk proteins and other proteins used in other products do not have the correct molecular weight. Joico is the only product line I know of that uses human hair keratin.

There are a ton of professional style products on the market to choose from.... all of them fairly decent to an extent, depending on what you are looking for them to do.

Aquage, Bed Head, & KMS are my personal favorite, but I would also recommend: Alterna, Redken, Paul Mitchell, Biolage, Sebastian or Broccato. Ask your stylist which she would recommend for you to try! :)

Side note: Several retailers, such as CVS or Target have been carrying some "professional" products.. I must warn you that these are black market and could be very old. Make sure that you buy them only from a salon!!!

Ok I'm not a hair stylist but I go to a very expensive salon and what you really need is Chi silk infusion. It runs around $35 for 12 oz but it's worth it. It makes your hair really smooth and soft. You also might wanna try the chi line of shampoos and conditioners or Paul Mitchell cuz that also works really well.

There are so many! I am not a professional, but I love Aveda, but Sebastian, and Paul Mitchell have been good for me. You can buy from either a salon or beauty supply; it makes no difference. I live in LA, so I can find almost every line, everywhere.

Bed Head by tigi is great!
Aquage products are good, it all depends on your hair needs. If you are wanting a professional opinion see a stylist in salon and talk to them about your hair type, and needs.

all coloring and perming will ruin your hair to some extent. other than that all shampoos and conditioners are made with the same stuff. nothing will repair the damage done by chemical changes. stop doing those and your hair will repair with regrowth. i stopped perming and only color. my hair is in good shape with white rain or suave.

One of my personal favorites is Alterna. Supposedly Jennifer Aniston uses it too. But with that aside it is a really good line.
