Use an exfoliator in the shower every day to help it fade quicker;

I prefer being pale, and hate getting the least little bit of color, because, to myself, I look...dingy, I suppose is the word. I'm not a naturally darker-skinned person, and seeing myself looking even slightly more tanned is off-putting. However, I do enjoy family trips to the beach, or daytrips to the local tourist traps, and since I live in the South, I'm not about to go out all bundled up. I've heard a little sun exposure is good for you, so I don't use sunblock if I'm going outside on the backporch to dry my hair, or on days when I'm only going to be going from the car to a store (on those days I just alternate which side of the car I'm on each time I get back in, so at least if I'm going to get any tan it's even, and it's never enough to be obvious). On longer trips, where I'm going to be outside all day, I make sure to wear the strongest sunblock I can find, which I think is 50, before the numbers don't really mean anything. Also, due to a tendency to get heat rash if I sweat too much, I do my exercising outside, things like jogging and climbing the huge hill near my house, after the sun goes down and it's cooler. Having done this for years, I can notice little things like one arm maybe being slightly darker than the other from being in the car window longer, or the hint of a tanline when I take my clothes off, but to everyone else, and especially during the summer when I stand next to my mom or sister, I'm still almost glaringly white. And I try not to worry too much about what sun I do get, because it fades in a couple weeks come winter time.

It usually takes about a month to lose your tan since your skin naturally exfoliates every 3 weeks or so. I have no clue why it wont go away, You probably have really skin and that may be why it is holding the tan longer, and I'm jealous, lol. People are usually asking how to keep their tan. I would try exfoliating with a exfoliating body wash and one of those exfoliating sponges to get as much of the dead skin off, just dont rub to death!

Why would you want to LOSE your tan? People want to have a tan, esp. at this time of year when everyone looks like paste. It will go away on its own if you avoid the sun, or else live in my climate for 2 months, and you'll lose that tan fast enough.

Use a high level SPF sunscreen daily, it will expose you to further damage (tan) and the other will gradually fade.

And hey smart allics, Michael Jackson has videlago! It is when you lose pigment in your skin alltogether. It's not fun for people that have it. He more than likely had splotches of it on his face, etc and had a process done where the doc can remove all your pigment so that your skin is at least all one color. Oprah also has it.

You may choose to stay away from sunshine until you get sick and die, or you may decide to become a friend of shadows and walk the streets only at night like a spook. These seem to me to be the easiest solutions to your problem.
