I have a "stacked bob". No bangs, long in front and stacked the back. My ends and layers through out are textured so that I can flip my ends out or under. I use the wide round brush from the longer parts of my hair. Top parts go under. I use the small round brush for the bottom layer and short pieces of hair. Bottoms flip out or in depending on what kind of day it is... use a wax to spruce it a bit and go!

Some days and especially at the gym, I use those small teeny-tiny claw clips and pull four locks of hair on the top of my head straight back and clip them..... the ends can go out or end, whatever is easiest.

I have a bob and they are not very versatile. Sometimes I clip my fringe (bangs) back, which looks a bit chavvy. I also change my parting, which makes quite a big difference - a centre parting, side parting or a sloping parting that starts on the front- left and goes to the back-right or vice versa.

You can also backcomb the back for that 60s look. You can wear a headband (hairband?) or tie a scarf with the bow at the top (80's style!) or at the bottom (more hippyish). You can use straighteners, and product to define the ends of your hair, adding lots of volume at the back and keeping it poker straight at the front.

You can curl the ends under for that pulp fiction style, which is the nicest classic bob look. Or, even though it's not very trendy at the moment, curl it outwards for that dee-lite look.

Last but not least, clever use of rollers or tongs can give you a nice 50's doris day do.

If you think of any more I'd love to know :)

bobs are always different as no one is ever the same but try using straightners to flick the ends out, if you split your parting down the side then the flicks will look better. get a light fringe cut in if youdont already have one and style it over to the side and flick that aswell and volia a fab style, another being curl the underneath and plait the top always a fab move xx

hiya, i recently had alot of my hair cut of into a short bob which is slightly shorter at the back and ive found the best way to style it is to wash it then dry it slightly, then section it of and use a round brush to dry it, it will give it abit of volume and is easier to do then you would think, or if your in a hurry, just dry it flat then use straighteners and put it behind your ears, then you have got 2 loks in 1. hope you get on ok with you bob xx

I would agree with sectioning off the hair and drying with a round brush. Just to change it up a little bit, I would flip the ends up sometimes instead of down. You may also want to consider having your stylist cut in a few long layers to give your hair volume so it doesn't just lay flat on your head.

Pull up the hair on top of your head and put it in a roller or pins. Then dry the bottom while coaxing it into a soft curl under. When done and dry let down the crown portion and dry it into the soft curl under also. Whalla!!!!

Wash it first. There's nothing worse when a pigeon (for example) bobs on you and you try to style it

possibly you are able to positioned on a headband at night. i'm a black woman and donning a headband at night assists in retaining my hair neat and keeps a bend in my hair. I additionally agree that utilising a touch blow dryer contained in the morning with a broom to help make it bend inwards might help to maintain it large and likewise look clean.
