i got asked this question and knew straight away what day it was. just wondering how others would answer this? for example, you got a great job, you moved to another town, you met someone great etc - how did that day change you?

thanks for asking raja
there have been lots of days, most significant in terms of changing me as a person would be the day i found out my boyfriend of five years was sleeping with a close friend of mine. double betrayal. i now have some fire in my belly!
a happy day was when i graduated! i felt really proud of myself.

9/11/2001. I am sure there are other's but I live about an hour from manhattan and the whole thing of that close to home, not to mention watching it all unfold throughout the day just did a lot. On the upside there were many events of the day that we heard of some time later that changed it all. We lost a lot of good people that day but we gained something very important also. Yes mistakes were made and are still being made six years later but life is about learning from your mistakes and no one said that even life itself would be easy. When people have children do those kids come with a manual(Doubtul). So niether does life. We learned that day the same lesson we should have remembered from history. You remember history, it was that thing in school about all those mistakes of the past. We learned the hard way on Dec 7, 1941 what happened if you attempted to avoid problems around the rest of the world. We lost 3000+ when Pearl Harbor was , they said attacked, I say obliterated. It seems there are a few things that remain the same. There are parts of some of those ships sitting on a forgotten side of the island rusting away in a pile. Ground Zero still is awaiting a full and thorough search of remains as here we are in 2007 and still finding parts in and around the site. I write this to make you think. How different is it to be thrust in a war by the bombing of a Naval Base on a sunday morning when most are asleep and using planes, commercial not war to take out two buildings in lower manhatten which in effect killed close to the same number when combined with those who died at the Pentagon and those who died in that grassy feild in Pennsylvania. We as a country thought we could avoid the terrorists. Even today there are those who believe we brought them to us. No matter what brought them, they are here and we need to deal with them. How did that day change me. I watched people jumping out of those towers rather than burn. I had a friend who had to go there on a daily basis for work. I heard the horror stories about the rats as big ... I saw first hand when those who gave the extreme were found and brought home. For me it made a lot of things seem less important and a few most. Life is a gift and prescious and not to waste. One day your thirty, talking to people you never thought possible, the next your fifty and wondering where it all went.

The day I attribute my life changing was when I had my first huge fight with my son.
I'll never forget taking a drive after-wards and understanding my Father more so then I had ever begin to imagine that I would. I had a new appreciation for him and all he tried to do. I was able to let go of so many thing's I took personally for so may years. I have had a great relationship with my Father ever since and it was at that moment that I realized I had the responsibility of breaking the cycle.
Good Question.

My life changed for the worst when a good friend who i had taken in because she was homeless told everyone that my home had cockroaches in it and it changed for the better when i fell out with a group of bullies at work and discovered that its pointless trying to be liked by everyone.
