There are so many thoughts on what deficiency might cause this, ridged fingernails have long been known as a symptom of a zinc deficiency.
t It is also one of the
symptoms that sometimes occurs with Fibromyalgia and/or Chronic Fatigue
Syndrome.
You should probably
let your doctor know if they are deep ridges
Or you might try a calcium supplement - make sure to
buy one that is a combo of calcium/magnesium/zinc, for proper absorption.

This is from a site I tend to trust & has some good info, please check out.
Finger nails have been a good indicator of some health problems, eg it says in the article:
Concave nails, for instance, can be a sign of a deficiency in iron while horizontal grooves across the nail bed suggest a need for more zinc in the diet. Calcium is important, of course, but so are zinc and silica. In fact, white flecks across the nail are more often a sign of a zinc deficiency than a shortage of calcium.

Ridged finger nails COULD and I stress could be a symptom of heavy metal toxicity. A hair mineral analysis by a reputable lab would show any high levels of heavy metals

You don't say how many nails are affected. My thumb nails have lots of ridges due to being damaged on a number of occasions e.g. when using a hammer or jamming them in sliding doors !!!
