As a lady with a young kid, I have practically lost all muscle in my lower abs. May seem cheesy on the infomercial, but I like the ab roller. I tried it at the gym on both a flat and inclined surface and it works great. I normally get a strain in my neck performing regular crunches, but the ab roller has cushion and support for your neck too.

The stability ball is great for tightening up your core which includes your entire torso front and back. You can buy one with an instructional video or you can take classes at the gym.
