Each book in the New Testament is necessary to give a full, true picture of New Covenant beliefs, so it's nearly impossible to answer this question. However, the Gospel of Matthew includes the most New Covenant provisions of any other Gospel or book, so I'd have to pick that one. With few exceptions, the other books expand upon the teachings given by Christ in the Gospel of Matthew, instead of giving new teachings.

You're getting biased answers.
I would say the only gospel that SHOULD reflect the real christianilty are the Gnostics gospels - especially the gospel of Thomas.

The Gospel of John, specifically the Sermon on the Mount and the Prodigal Son. The most important message of Jesus was to love another with all of ones heart.
