I would drop by my local camera store. Let them have a look at it and check it out for you. Buy a new battery and a few rolls of film from them and ask them if they have any old manuals kicking around. They usually do. They may have time to show you some basic stuff - loading/unloading film, settings, using autofocus, etc.

It pays big dividends to have a good relationship with a reputable camera store in your area. they can ofer you a lot of tips and help. Plus they may run courses or know someone who does.

Also, camera stores often deal in used gear and will check it out before they sell it. They often stand behind it with a 30-120 day guarantee. More than you'll get from eBay.

I have a rebel with instructions but I don't know what a K2 is. Mine is digital. I think you can go online to Canon and buy instructions. Don't leave your battery in your camera. They are exploding especially if you buy the off brand. Plus it drains the camera.
