Nope. interior the initiating, God created the heavens and the earth. He created Adam and placed him in a playpen suggested as the backyard of Eden. Then he created all the animals and delivered them to Adam, giving Adam the corporation to call them in spite of he needed. After some unspecified time, Adam found out, "2 cow. 2 fox. 2 submit to. 2 wolf. One human???" and then he asked God approximately it. Having examined Adam's persistence, have confidence and faith, God then rewarded him along with his suited tournament, Eve. What human beings conveniently forget approximately is that Adam became the suited supplement for Eve besides. The have been actually made for one greater.

The origins of monotheism are speculated to have started in Ancient Egyptian times with the Pharaoh Akhenaten denouncing the polythesistc views perviously held. One god became the sole diety of worship Aten, with all the others Isis, Ra, Horous, Set etc etc becoming lesser or exculded dieties. Although the religion of Aten only lasted approx 20years, it was enough to change a generation and thus influence the beginings of a permenent monothesitic religion. Do a search on Syncretism, this explains all.

This is a controversial question, so I guess it merits controversial answers. Then you decide.
I'm a Christian myself, and there has been archaeological evidence that we did, in fact, come from one parent. But the thing is, I also believe that it was quite a while before man began to define his beliefs. After spreading out from the point of origin and founding families, communities, and finally civilizations at different points of the world, I wouldn't be surprised that after all the moving around, beliefs have changed and different systems of religion were formed.
Another possible answer: Adam and Eve may have been the FIRST created, but I wouldn't put it past God to make OTHER humans in other places AFTERWARD. Cain and Abel were Adam and Eve's first children. When Cain left, he was worried about how other people would treat him. Why would he worry about other people if there weren't any people other than his family?
I think a supporting point would be that the nation of Israel later had wars with people like the Egyptians, Assyrians, and Philistines - but according to Adam and Eve's genealogy (if my memory of the Old Testament serves me correctly), those nations weren't their children.

When people become disatisfied with their religion they try to form another religion to suit their needs. You see Born again Christians of today, they felt that they were not understood by the Catholic religion so proceeded to form a religion of their own. The way I see it, no matter which religion you choose to worship God, God is always at the helm of ALL religions. Religion has turned into a circus, I'll promote a religion so that I can use my neighbours wife, all to enhance man's need to overcome sinning it won't look so bad if I make it my religion, lol.

Sex attraction is the beginning of the illusion summarized in the phrase aham mameti: "I am my body, and everything in relationship with my body is mine." A man searches after a woman, and a woman searches after a man, and when they unite for sex the material illusion becomes very strong. This is nature's arrangement for keeping the conditioned soul under her stringent laws.
The whole material world is based on the attraction between male and female. This principle is working not only in human society, but among the birds, beasts, aquatics, insects- everywhere. You will find that as soon as a male dog sees a female dog, the male immediately begins canvassing: "Please come, let us unite."
Therefore, in human society one has to understand by Vedic knowledge, by education, that we are bound up within this material world due to sex attraction. Unless one inquires into the Absolute Truth, a human being is no better than an animal.

God made us different because He wanted us to be tested in this life !! How we deal with these differences !!
Also, to show that there many ways to reach God and ask for His help !!
But one thing must be clear in Our minds !!
One God !! not two or three or more !!
Take a very superficial example of Two Bosses in a Company !
It will never work even though they are able reconcile blah blah !!
eventually it will be a distratous !!
Believe in One God is most important !!
God KNOWS the BEST

Adam and Eva are not the first man and woman; they are only figures of a parable.
From time immemorial, the One True God successively sends down His Messengers to educate mankind, therefore all religions are of one source.

Not all religions believe that life started with God creating two humans. However, you're right to think vaguely that religons can be connected: the major monotheistic religions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam (in chronological order) believe in one God. They disagree over whether God came to earth in human form (that's where J. and I. walk away).

“Know thou assuredly that the essence of all the Prophets of God is one and the same. Their unity is absolute. God, the Creator, saith: There is no distinction whatsoever among the Bearers of My Message. They all have but one purpose; their secret is the same secret. To prefer one in honor to another, to exalt certain ones above the rest, is in no wise to be permitted. Every true Prophet hath regarded His Message as fundamentally the same as the Revelation of every other Prophet gone before Him. …
The measure of the revelation of the Prophets of God in this world, however, must differ. Each and every one of them hath been the Bearer of a distinct Message, and hath been commissioned to reveal Himself through specific acts. It is for this reason that they appear to vary in their greatness. …
… God’s purpose in sending His Prophets unto men is twofold. The first is to liberate the children of men from the darkness of ignorance, and guide them to the light of true understanding. The second is to ensure the peace and tranquility of mankind, and provide all the means by which they can be established. …” -Baha'u'llah
