if you are using a laptop PC there should be a Character Map feature in your list of programs and accessories. Locate the code for the letter you are looking for, usually involves holding down the ALT key and then typing three numbers. Or you may be able to select and copy the character and add it into the document you are writing. Mac computers allow you to change the keyboard at any time so you can just select a Spanish keyboard and find the letter you want. This way you can learn how to type the "n" or any accented letters or symbols we don't use in English.

I'm set up for English UK and the following workds: ALT+164. In other words, hold down the 'Alt' key while typing in the digits '164' on the number pad. If that doesn't work, hit 'Num Lock' and try again.

It's called a tilde. If you use Windows, go to start button > programs > accessories > system tools > character map (not every font will have it: Times New Roman does), click on it twice, or press select, and press copy: ñ

Or just copy that one :-D

If you are using Microsoft Word, click on the Insert menu and scroll down to symbols and take your pick from that list.
