Friend, did not God tell Noah that he was going to destroy the earth in the flood, Well this same earth is still standing here, that word destroy is being taken out of context, The next time it will be destroy is by fire, but that does not mean this same earth you are walking on will no longer be here, it will always be here only in a different fashion, Jesus Christ & his Bride will rule & reign upon this planet for 1000 yrs. & then after that 1000 yrs. is up Then we go into the eternal age, right here on this earth, where you read that there will be a new heaven & a new earth does not mean God is going to destroy it, he will only re-do it or the correct word may be Redeem it, until one day again this same planet will have a perfect climate once again. The new earth John saw was after the cleansing by fire. But it was not this earth being completely destroy & God has to create a new earth, it will just have been cleansed by fire.

He says nowhere in Revelation that He will destroy the Earth. In fact what it says is more or less the Earth will be wiped clean and He will bring heaven down to us and live here amongst His people. And as for that promise He did make it is supposed to be more like, He promised that the rain will always have an end, the rainbow being his gift of proof.

Jesus didn't say He'd never destroy earth again, that was God that said it.
In the Book of Revelation it does not say the earth will be destroyed by Him, it says there will be a new heaven and earth.

What verse?
The earth is eternal.
As to Revelation.
The word "new" in the Greek properly translated means "rejuvenated".
Yes there is going to be some house cleaning and remodeling but the same earth.
Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

The earth will never be destroyed, because after the Last Judgement, God will establish His Kingdom on earth. The Last Judgement is not the physical end of the world, but it is the end of all the wrongs of human childishness to enter the age of maturity.

I think it was God who said, I will never devestate the earth with another flood. So maybe another ice age won't set in. As far as the earth lasting for-ever, I'm not to sure about that. In the last two hundred years, the earth has lost marked strenghth in its magnetic field. The earth might be dying.
