Use moisturizer in the evening before you go to bed and in the morning after your shower. Lubriderm is a good one, recommended by dermatologists. You dont' need anything fancy...just something that will work.
You may also want to switch the cleanser or soap you are using on your face to one for dry skin. There are a ton out there...

Use a night mosturiser which restores the natural oil in your face at night, Dove and Nivea have some good ones out, you may have to go a bit more expensive though to get one that is specifically designed for very dry skin, ask at your local pharmacy.

It's tired but true, a moisterizer before you go to bed is your best bet.
Personally, I use this stuff from Clean and Clear. Its a moisturizer, but it also helps with acne. My skin is soft and pimple-free when I wake up :-D
Good luck!
ps - It's in a bottle with a squirty top thinger...(and yes i know im a girl and should know the right term for it, but...i guess im more wrapped up in other things)

Vit. E. tablets
Omega 3 tablets
a humidifier
and the same old , hydrate from within, drink your fluids
lots of water,
also make sure you don't take to hot of showers, this will deplete the moisture from your skin, and use a moisturizer daily

If I know it's that season when my skin gets really dry especially my face, I'll put lotion right before I go to bed. Oh, and drink lots of water.

use a good moisturizer before you go to sleep. Also, drink plenty of water. But if it hurts, you should seek out a dermatologist.

You may need a humidifier for your bedroom if that doesn't work try putting a very very thin layer of Vaseline on your face after you wash it before you go to bed.
