My cats always bolted after she’s used the kitty litter.
We used to have an out door cat, and he always strutted away from the garden/litter looking smug.
The strutter was “king of the hill” so to speak. He’d pick fights with Rottweilers and win.
The bolter is afraid of baby chickens. (She saw the chicken, and wouldn’t come out from under the bed for THREE DAYS! We had to put bowls of water and food under there for her…)
I’m guessing it has something to do with where the cat feels it’s place in the pecking order is.

I knew a Snoe shoe Bluepoint Siamese who did the same thing! I mean, laid TRACKS to get away from that litterbox! One of the funniest things I've seen. I asked her why and she said she wasn't sure, but maybe cause it was stinky and she was a lady and all...

Hi there...this is funny, because many cats do this. Perhaps there's a sense of elation to be able to relieve themselves--dropping a load. Running like bonkers to announce to the world "I'm free!"

Is it when you catch her going? Maybe she feels uncomfortable when someone watched her go. My grandpa's dog refused to go if someone was looking. You had to look away before he would do his business.
