every night i have trouble falling asleep. no matter how tired i am before i go to bed, i always stay awake long afterwards, unable to get to sleep. i read somewhere that the best way to fall asleep is to stop trying, but whenever i try this, it doesn't make any difference.

Many people say have a drink of warm milk (doesn't help me) or don't have a coffee before bed (having a coffee helps hubby to sleep.. lol).

I find that those times when I am having many nights running where I can't fall asleep I take a valerian.

Valerian is a herbal tablet and it helps relax the body and definately helps me to sleep.

You will find it at health food stores and some pharmacies. They come in a range of strengths and I would suggest starting with the lower one first. If you find that it's not having the desired effect, then move up one strength.

The aren't all that expensive, around $13.00 for 100 I think it is.

I hope that you manage to have a good nights rest and have sweet dreams. :)
