We have a 7 month old mini daschund, and are thinking of adopting a 3 month old blind puppy, also mini daschund. We are big animal lovers, but wouldn't want her to suffer, what would her chances be of having a healthy happy life? Other health defects? Can she function and live a long life? It breaks our hearts when a pet dies, and that would as well. Any help is appreciated. The group we may get her from, says she will attach herself to another dog, and follow it around, then whimper if she gets lost, and any one of the other dogs, will come around her, and she will follow it back.

Blindness should have not impair the puppy's health in any way....as like humans! Blind humans can lead normal lives! I think it's awsome that you are willing to adopt the puppy! it will love you just as much as a seeing dog, if not more! The older she gets, the more independent she will become
