Was prescribed the above antibiotics for tonsilitius however I am taking St Jogns Wort for depression and anxiety. I'm not seeing much improvement and was wondering if the Wort could be affecting things as I know it can certain other drugs. The doctor did not know as he admitted he did not know a great deal about herbal remedies. Been also getting really dry throats at night is this a symptom of the Tonsilitus?

I am taking St Johns Wort and it does reduce the effectiveness of antibiotics and other things such as the contraceptive pill. Best to stop the St Johns Wort while you recover from your tonsilitus.

The others I see are redundant to what I've sent you. For depression & anxiety you should be on a benzo like valium stay awat from Xanax. I suggest you get Lexapro or Paxil is what I take & it works. I hope this helps you or at least gives you something to think about.
