put the muffin down. say to yourself "I'm worth more than this. i don't need to eat to make myself feel happy. i am going to make the best of this life as of right now." then throw the muffin out. screw wasting food. its better than eating it and storing it as fat.
its just a habit you've formed, they say a habit takes about 25 days to break.

Take something that will suppress your appetite, go to the nearest pharmacy and I'm sure you'll find something that will meet your needs. There are protein and vitamin shakes that keep you full during the day to help you lose weight by supressing your appetite and they can substitute meals.

Are you taking the pill by any chance? That usually increases your appetite.

Don't skip breakfast in the morning as that will make you hungrier at the end of the day and you'll end up pushing all your meals later on in the day. You should really stop eating 3 hours before you go to bed, and eating a proper breakfast will help you achieve that by keeping you full through out the majority of the day.

There's nothing wrong with eating healthily, so if your eating heaps of fruit and veges there's nothing to feel guilty about. However if you find you're feasting on junk food, don't buy it. It will reduce the temptation cause it's not lying in your pantry cupboard.

If all else fails see your GP about it. Good luck!

I have exactly the same problem at the moment but know that this is psychological for me. I am "comfort" eating to cover up a concern I have in another area of my life. I am going to make a concerted effort in the next week to take control of my eating and let the worry go at the same time.

See a Dr.

Eat slower and drink water. Your stomache is approximately the size of your fist. Preset your portions using that guidline and chew your food completely. It takes about twenty minutes for the food to get to your belly and the hunger to stop. Water helps kill the hunger and the urge to eat. Most people that overeat are actually dehydrated. The body has a hard time distinguishing hunger from thirst.

I know exactly what 2 do. when u eat, eat more slowly. when you feel almost full, or 80% full, stop, because all your food has not digested. you'll feel better after wards. so try 2 cut down on the grub and you'll feel better. Dont try pills. they can make you worse. they ruin your insides, and sometimes you dont even get results. they are a waist of money and they hurt you.

Keep foods out of your sight. Out of sight means out of mind, so that you won't go and eat them. Do things that you love other than eating like singing or biking. If all else fails, see a doctor, or else you compulsive eating habit will eventually wreck your health.
