why doensn't a fair God test every human with the tree of knowledge? we had no control over Eve's action.

In a sense, you could say that God already does give us a fair test. He gives us all the power to resist the temptation of sin.

And just as Eve had the power to resist, so do we. Like Eve, often we yield to temptation.
