could a woman lack the knowledge of how to act when she is out with others due to her upbringing

Definitely.
The way we are raised as children makes us who we are. We learn our etiquette and manners as a child. If none is taught, then how could someone be expected to know anything about them? It doesnt sound like a defiant act, but simply a lack of knowledge. If shes willing, there are etiquette classes out there, and maybe even some counseling if need be.

No, I'm not sure what you're asking. "Not able to present herself as a wife"? If you mean do some people lack certian social skills due to their upbringing, then yes. If they were never in a particular situation or told what is proper, then they will just do what they think is correct. It can be embarressing, but don't blame someone for ignorance they have no control over.

Cultural background and language dictate out behavior. So people who have drastic variations in those two areas will be quite different - including your concern.
