I have curly-wavy hair and I am brunette, I have light tan. My friends adore my hair when I straight. I was thinking of making a change and straight my hair. but beautifully made curls go with me too. Ppl got used to my curls, straight would be a good choice...What do you think?

Here's my thought. If you normally wear your hair curly, straighten it for the prom. You can then put it in large hot rollers to help give it some body and curl the ends slightly.

I would totally go with straight. I mean the Prom is a very special occasion and it would be great to see yourself more special too and if you are a brunette, it would look very sophisticated and chic to have look straight hair. Curls may look more natural but straight would make you look glamorous more than curly would make you look cute. This is my advise: Go straight.

I think that for proms and somewhat high-class social outings, the classics are always a hit. Nice curls would be pretty. I don't know that I would want my hair straight at my prom, but then again, mine is always straight.

I wore my hair curly for my prom, The stylist pinned my hair back & went over my (natural) curls w/ a curling iron. It looked great & I loved it!!

You should so have it curly, straight it really not in and it looks tacky for froms, or you could take it up and have loose curls down at the side? But if you insist on having it straight then why don't you blow dry it under or outward? That looks good too.

Good luck,
Lorna

Curly is the way to go. You can make your hair like Emma Watson in the 4th Harry Potter :D

i think that if your hair is naturally curly, straight would be a change, and if your friends think you look good that way, you should listen to them! usually, friends can give the best advice about things like this, right? ;-)
but... i'm sure you'll look great either way!

I've always thought that a woman in a fancy dress looked better when her hair was up.
