It has negatively impacted all of our lives.
1) It has pushed back science education to the point that our kids won't have a good foundation when they get older.
2) It has pushed bad law and corroded the Constitutional right of freedom of religion, especially freedom from religion.
3) It has mired large portions of the population in superstition and discouraged independent thinking.
4) It has escalated wars and promoted intolerance.
5) It has supported its fanatic fringe to commit heinous acts against humanity.
And the list goes on...

FOr a while I was a good little Jewish boy, but that made me socially inept and sent me back about 5 years in actual growth and maturity due to the false walls that were set up around me.
Then I ditched religion, realized the world around me, and am now a relatively cool guy.
Religion= scrweed me up
Lack of Religion= Made me socially acceptable and personable (and as a Jew who celebrated the Sabbath, free on Friday nights)

it was ok while i followed it, i thank it for the morales and some of the philosophical considerations, but now i'm sticking to the philosophy and not the faith.
the religions of others helped shape me as much as by own in childhood and specially the teen years, and i learned to respect and accept the faiths of others.
what has the most affect at present are worries about the world with the extremists around.

Giving my life to Christ has made me a happy more centered person. I love the Lord and I love what he did for us to save us from our sins.

Let me tell you something that happened to me when I was a child. I was seven years old and my father, the great King Solomon, brought me to our city of Jerusalem and said, “Aaron, who is God to you?” And I answered, “Father, God is the Lord and Creator of the Universe.” And my father said, “Do you know what He wants you to do?” And I wondered and said no. It was then, at that wonderful moment, that my father the King of Israel told me it was my destiny to build an empire from the Euphrates in Mesopotamia to the Nile in Egypt, and to rule this empire with absolute power. For I, the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Israel, was to become a great man, the greatest among all the Jews. And I said, “Father, I shall not fail thee, for thou hast given me splendor; And Wonder to Jehovah the Lord and Creator of the Universe, for He shall aid me in my heavenly conquests. And so it was that Religion helped me became Aaron Zachariah, King of Israel and the World." I hope your question has been answered, my child.
