Depends on what the dream is , but honey, never give it up without at least reaching for it! Do what you have to do to reach your goal, within reason of course (don't hurt people, etc.). If you have a dream, don't let age stop you from going for it!
Sometimes we have to change our dreams a bit , but if it is still a reachable one, go for it! Don't waste any more time!

Your age should not discourage you. It is never too late. In fact, there are many advantages to working toward your goal at this stage of your life. Certainly, you have enough life experience to know what you truly want, the wisdom to be realistic about your expectations, and the emotional maturity to work through the rough patches you might experience on the way. You will have a diminished fear of failure when you have lived through bad experiences and costly mistakes. Make at least one small, positive step toward your goal every day, and do not let anyone tell you it is hopeless or pointless. You can prove them wrong. Life should be a continuous process of personal growth. Visualize your dream, decide what steps need to be taken to reach it, and start today.

Who is stopping you from realizing your dream? YOU.
Age has nothing to do with it.
Col.Sanders with his Fried chicken idea started when he was past 60. It is a huge franchise today. When he wanted to sell his fried chicken and when he approached a few well known restauranters with the idea they laughed him out the door. Angry Sanders started his own. The rest is history.
Bill Gates before he started Microsoft at his young age approached IBM with his idea. They would not listen to him.
When Walt Disney showed his idea of caricatures like mickey mouse those people in that day said "...who would ever want to look at funny pictures like that?". They really laughed at him.
There are a lot of stories like this. Don't stop. You have an idea? You have a dream? Pursue it - no matter what anyone says.

When I was young, I mean before 10 yo, 60 was very old. 60 year olds would retire and suddenly be very old people.
These days, 60 is still young. If you don;t understand what I mean look at Dirk Benedict on UK Big Brother. He's over 60 and still a 'young' man.
If you look after yourself you could have another 40+ years ahead of you.
If you are only 50 you potentially have a lot of productive years ahead of you. You are not old. Go for it.

It depends on what your dream is - but like everything in life - you start it one step (or day) at a time. All it takes is making the first step and begin following the path to your goal.
Good Luck!!!

Never give up on your dreams. Even if you only do it for a short time you have accomplished something you have always wanted to do. That should give you a feeling of success.
Good luck at what ever your dream is.
