... religions have the courtesy to at least hear what islam is about rather than denounce it as eastern rhetoric and mythology that couldn't possibly be true? Are you so unstable in your faith that you believe that hearing about the tennants of another religion would be a sin? What if you are wrong?

I think that you cannot really discuss something like that because people tend to speculate about something they heard from some people more stupid then themselves. To talk about something like that you need to actually READ something about that and research the subject. But for them it's toooo complicated so it's easier to post their stupid answers without really knowing the subject. I don't want to be rude but really when have you actually read some serious things (and NOT magazines) about other religions. How can you say that Muslims are to blame for 9/11? I mean have you forgotten about Crusade Wars? I really don't want to be analyzed as someone who killed thousants of people just because they weren't Christians! Education is our salvation! We need to study things that we know nothing about and the world will be better palce to live for all of us!

What an interesting question!

First, I am not against Islam and the Qurran, but your statement that the Qurran is scientifically proven is a bit farfetched. Where did you get this information? I wish the newspapers had published something about it.

Second, Christians (and I do not count myself among them) often say similar things. Look at all the proof, they say. Why can't some people believe. There are many Christians who seem to think their religion is proven also by science. In fact, they make up their own science just for that purpose.

Third, I don't think that Christians or Buddhists or believers in any other religion are likely to be interested in the tenants of another religion. They've already found the answer. It doesn't have anything to do with instability but with "unnecessity."

Sorry if this sounds harsh. It isn't meant to be. I just think that your presentation of the issue is not as logical as it could be.

1. if you reject Christ all the way to the end, even when he proves himself to you, you will have chosen hell by default. if you reject Jesus and his new heaven and earth, you can't go there so there is no place else to go but hell that is prepared for the devil, his angels, his followers. 2. I did not say Christianity is Scientifically proven to be true. However, Science Journals are not going to contain very thorough studies on how many people have near death experiences, see Jesus, nor are they going to give any credibility to the theories of Scientists who say there "had to be a flood" because of "how quickly the grandcanyon had to be formed," and so on and so forth and so on. A person has to dig for the evidence of Science studied by people who happen to be Christian at this point because the idea of "God" being "real" is not popular at this time in history. 3. What study are you talking about? What prayers are you talking about? did they study charismatic holy ghost filled Chrisitans? I seriously doubt it. The probably studied Catholics or some denomination known to be very conservative in their beliefs, a denomination that does not believe in standing on the promises of God like the early disciples did. Therefore the study most likely is not thorough. Your condescending outlook is showing just a bit but that's okay. bless you.

All religions are myths and therefore no one religion is no better than any other religion. The problem with all religions is that they all claim to be the right one. All religions want to spread they view of the world. The reality Islam is a make believe religion like many others and just a good idea which at the current point in time appears to many have been high jacked by a bunch of sick people.........sorry! Try using a little common sense and come to the real answer of life.

Yes we hear. Where is your proof. I did read all the science in Qur'an. Why did you not post one proven point. Like for instance "The Mountains are pegs that keep the earth from shaking" or the repeating the "Al Fatiah" cures depression.

The Qur'an's science:

Describes something that any human, of normal intelligence, can observe.

Was similar to the prevailing scientific opinions of the era

Many of these alleged scientific statements are contradicted by other passages from the Qur'an.

Was, more often than not, completely wrong.

The "embryology" of the Qur'an is the same as the beliefs of the Greek Physician Galen (150 AD). These beliefs are also scientifically wrong.

Every major religion has some historical truth to it. Whatever the books say, and whether it's historically plausible or not, doesn't matter. Tolerance is more valuable than any fact. As long as the other religion isn't trying to kill us (and not even Islam does--- Islamic extremists don't really follow the Quarran) we should be tolerant of the religion.

Yeah. Scientifically proven to be true? Are you serious? Has any one sold you some snake oil recently?
Faith CAN NOT be scientifically proven. Hence it is Faith-" I believe" which is different from" I Know". Science investigates matters and seeks answers. When proven "We know"

I have, with courtesy, heard what other religions have to say. I choose to stay with my faith.

BTW: If a religion could be proved scientifically there would be no need for faith, right?

Qumran talk about Mohamed(I'm sorry if I don't spell a Name or word in the right way, I do not speak English very well.)the Bible talk about Jesus.
Just to say a little thing: "When you talk about what year we are living at, people say "2007 after Christ", or if you are talking about something that happened long time ago, people said "345 years BEFORE CHRIST".
So Jesus, no Mohamed is the one that not only change many thing including your live but even our calendar.
I thing that say more than 1000 words.
GOD BLESS YOU IN JESUS NAME. AMEN!
