The Pup is from my breed, she is a beautiful little girl that needs to have her legs looked at, but because im from brisbane and im in Victoria visitiing my daughter i dont know any good vets.
i have been to 2 vets , the first 1 charged me $700 for a ceasor,( that was a butcher anyway) the 2 nd one charged me $60 to tell me that she was to little for xrays, and she had swimmers feet. i dont believe the second vet, her knee's are to flexible. i was just wondering if anyone knew if it was fixable or if anyone knew a puppy with it and what happened with it.
Thank you

I agree 6 wks is way too young . Should have waited untill 8 weeks before the puppy was sold . 12 weeks is a little late as well however would you socialize a 12 wk old puppy . I got mine when he was 8 weeks old and have not had any medical problems with him and would most certainly buy another one from this breeder . anyway change vets and get a 2nd opinion . This sounds like it is going to be a surgery case . Good luck and I hope I helped .

A breeder that would sell you a 6 wk old pup is not a reputable nor ethical breeder. Obviously you got no health certificate with this pup, no vet will give them until 8 wks of age.

I know in the state of FL a pup (or kitten) cannot be transferred into the state or offered for sale within the state until they are 8 wks old.

Personally, I would take it back to the breeder, get your money back and find a reputable breeder. Otherwise you might be in for vet bills that could run into 4-5 digits.

If you are the breeder of this pup, I highly recommend that you DO NOT attempt to sell this pup period.

I agree totally with gvelliani, 6 weeks was way too young to be taken from mom and siblings. In some states its illegal for pups younger than 12 weeks to be sold. After having said that, I would definetly take her to another vet for a second opinion. Xrays need to be done to determine what might be the cause. good luck with your baby.

I agree that you should get a second opinion at another vet, but I don't agree that you should return the puppy to the breeder. Most breeders will not return a puppy, and an unethical one is ever more likely to refuse. If they did return the pup, do you think it would ever receive the care it needs? If you decide that this puppy needs more care than you can financially provide, please seek a Chihuahua rescue group and ask them to come take her, they will find her a home that would give her more care than the breeder would provide.

Who sold you a 6 week old Chihuahua. That's way too young, to be taken away from it's mother. It should have been with it's Mom, until at least, 12 weeks old! Poor baby! What kind of treatment, did she get from the vet? Did the vet, give you any options? Can it be fixed? I don't quite understand, what your asking. Can you provide more details, so we can give you, better answers? Thanks!

What kinds of tests did the vet do? Did the vet take xrays?
I would get another opinion from another vet!

Please, help this puppy; don't give up! Don't let this puppy suffer!
