Did you get a ticket or arrested? That is my thought. I feel that people had vivid imaginations and like to blame others for their problems. I think that the police, everywhere, are inherently good willed. There are some, a very small percentage, who make mistakes. If you want this job or you think you can do it better, sign up.

it may be that he's replaced into no longer skilled o.k. (if in any respect) for the region he's working. law enforcement officials could relate to all contributors of the community and there is very much of tension on them. and probably much greater in a small city the place everyone is conscious one yet another and city politics is everywhere. loss of coaching and get admission to to as much as date, ongoing education, and being with different skilled officers can placed on an officer right down to the factor that his wellbeing declines, ingesting can replace right into a controversy, kin issues, and so on. the education concern presumes the small city image which you provide - as though possibly officers are chosen on the cheap and the fee selection does not incorporate academy education.

I think there are some honest policemen but I also think there are quite a few that get into policework for the wrong reasons. It's a hard job seeing people at their worst all the time and some forget or are tempted to do those unscrupulous things. Then there are just those jerks that have no business in a uniform.

I think in general we have good, well balanced cops here. But, there is always an exception, and I think I found that one. Since I stood up against a misdirected charge, and tried to file a formal complaint... the battle is on. I just wonder how long/how much money$$$ it is going to cost to prove my point.

Police are great--as long as you are the one contacting them in a situation that cannot be handled in any other way.
Pulling people over for minute traffic offenses, acting as keepers of the peace in full riot gear at peaceful protests as agents of the beauracracy---not in favor. I like cops and their notion of civic duty--but the rationale behind risking your life for doing the man's dirtywork for 25K a year makes me puke. The majority of cops that I've had conversations were very interested in my job as an electrician, asking every single question imaginable with regards to their ability to make a similar career change.
Considering the outrageous damage to an individual's ability to seek the American Dream a simple arrest's penalties have escalated to---I have empathy for the men and women who know firsthand how much influence their decision has on one's life--
Being the grunt for the Prison Industrial Complex is a tough spot to be in. There's no rationale behind keeping 700 of every 100,000 Americans incarcerated in a system that has no justifiable rewards and I applaud those who realize it.

In my town I believe they are not dishonest or corrupt. I believe the criminals are dishonest and corrupt and try to make it seem like the police are because they don't accept responsibility for thier actions.

You are going to have good and bad seeds everywhere. For the most part, the officers in my community protect and serve.
