Those generals aren't retired because of Bush's plans. Many of the those who are speaking out haven't been here in two years or more and therefore have no clue.

GEN Zini is the worst of that crowd and needs to put up or shut up.

The "Bush Plan" is NOT Bush's plan but that of his Generals from Casey down. SECDEF Dages was here to talk about what was needed to get us back on a winning path and the result was this plan.

Don't criticize it until you know what it is, what it will do, how it will effect the outcome, and endstate of the operation.

21,000 troops and opening of the Rules of Engagement will give us what we need to wrest control from the Militias and back to the Iraqi Government's hands.

George W. Bush was advised against war in Iraq from the beginning. The Army Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Eric Shinseki, was forced to retire when he went before congress and told them the plan to liberate Iraq would take far more troops (300,000 vs 100,000) and an undefined amount of money. He also added that if all the required troops were deployed and the nation gave the campaign a blank check it would take over 10 years to succeed.
The Bush family's hatred of Saddam Hussein is what spur'd this War. We now know that all thier reasons were bogus. Now the entire middle east has been destabilized due to thier personal vandetta.
Anybody not willing to support thier war plans was dismissed or quietly forced out. Give them a yes nod and you get promoted. hey....none of those politicians or Generals who advocate a known bad plan have to risk thier lives over there do they?? Show me a general patrolling with the troops. How many Generals have been wounded ZERO! killed? ZERO! They have nothing to lose by agreeing. Those who use thier integrity are headed into retirement. The politicians who supported it are now in full retreat after the november election results. Only 1 US Congressman has a son over there. The Major advocate of the War George W. Bush has 2 daughters.....why hasn't he set the example and have his own children enlist and grab a rifle to support daddy's plan!

Bush places his own time table prior to the person-friendly strong of the country...This troop surge...the yankee human beings oppose it. The generals, both energetic-duty and retired, say that it received't help. yet George Bush thinks he can do it besides. Ignoring the teachings of heritage by technique of increasing troop levels isn't an answer to the topic matters in Iraq. neither is blaming the military for the President's own mistakes an answer, or ignoring the bipartisan Baker-Hamilton fee options, which includes an emphasis on international kinfolk individuals. And ignoring the want of the yankee human beings is honestly no longer an answer. the human beings made their voices heard, and if the president can't pay interest, the Democratic Congress will.

It's all about politics baby. That's the bottom line. It's a shame, and this war could've been won overnight or at maximum in a few weeks. But if we bombed Iraq's bases and the terrorist hotbed of the suni-triangle what money would be made? The Bush's and Clinton's are part of America's "unofficial oligarchy" which serves to keep these people in power. Vote Mitt Romney in '08 and after his two terms vote 3rd party.

There are hundreds of generals.
They have many different opinions including a massive increase
in troop strength by several hundred thousand.

He is picking the middle road position.
Some have retired because he is not aggressive enough.
But you don't hear that in the press.....wonder why?
