I've not had "Good" fish & chips since I was a kid. Probably because I live in Kansas, USA and Long John Silver's "fish" is hard to call good or even fish. With all the batter and oil and very little fish. In the late '60's or early '70's we had an "Alfie's Fish 'n' Chips" resturant which was supposedly "English" style and It was fantastic. I loved the fresh lemom and/or the malt vinegar on the fish, the chips and especially the batter crumbs they always put in the tray. Even the paper was printed to look like newsprint! Lots of fun and excellent meal!

I love fish because it's good to eat the flavor is unlike anything else on the planet also I love the crunch of the batter when fried.
A potato is a wonderful thing. You can mash it, bake it, cream it, and when you fry it in strips that are easy to handle and dip them in catchup or eat them only with salt or vinegar. That is heaven!

Oh you are bad!Now i feel like some!
I love squeezing fresh lemon on the fish and taking tiny bites so it lasts longer and i love love love my chips with chicken salt and tomato sauce.Yum!I like the chips when they aren't too hard and aren't too soft either and i take a bite from each end and nibble my way down.mmm mmm mmm ain't nothing better!
