Read 2 Corinthians 4: 1- 6. In verses 3 & 4 it talks about the god (notice the small font) of this world blinding the minds of the unbelieving so not to see the light. This is saying whatever they have put before GOD.

I'm also blind to Shiva, Woden, Zeus, Quetzalcoatl, Dagda, Baal and 101 other gods. they are all much of a muchness and all as unlikely. people in the past and present have and do believe in them. they all have holy texts. they all have a dubious records of fulfilled prophesies, ( in fact i believe the most specific and accurate of all prophesies was made by the Aztec god Quetzalcoatl, regarding bearded white men).tell me exactly why all of the other gods are false and yours is real. provide real concrete proof and evidence. if you cannot do this then you are just as blind to the possible existence of these other gods.

its not being blind i think its more what theyve chosen... they might as why are chrstians so open to something that dont exsist... i believe in god, but i respect ones decision not to... my god says do not push your religion on others and thats exactly what i do... just as some or most atheist do not push theirs on me, wich i respect.... why is this only about atheist??... why dont you wonder why some hindu or something believe in another god, or buhdist.. theres mant religions that dont believe in your god, why single out the atheist?.. im not trying to be rude in anyway just wondering why people pick on atheist more than anything...

One explanation is that they do not have schizoid delusional mental disorders.
Some of the symptoms of these disorders are to have delusions, illusions, irational thinking, believeing that invisible beings are watching you and influencing you etc....
The absence of these symptoms makes it difficultfor them to believe that tales and legends and their characters are true and realy exists.
