ACP is an acronym that stands for Automatic Colt Pistol
Springfield XD 45 ACP is an auto there for yes.
Look on the Side of the weapon it says 45 ACP opposite side of ejection port.
You Feed it what it calls for, and don’t get the 45 GAP confused with it.
Two totally different rounds.
Look at link has a good side view

"45 ACP" or "45 AUTO"...these two are the same thing, just different names. Your XD will handle these rounds.

There is no such thing as "regular 45 ammo". There is 45acp (auto), 45super (auto), 45gap (auto), 45LC(revolver), and 45SW (revolver). Springfield XD used 45acp but some models chamber 45gap. This must be your first gun. Better ask for help outside Yahoo Answers forum.

Yeah, D58 is correct. .45 ACP IS regular 45 ammo. Unless you happen to have grown up in a Peacemaker house.
