I can't stand people who can't merge...instead they stop and stare back at traffic. Or people that keep waaaay too much distance between them and the car in front of them at a stoplight so that you can't get into a turn lane, and therefore you miss the turn arrow. And don't get me started on slow drivers in the fast lane.

I have a hard time with people who don't use their turn signals.
Folks who stop when they have the right of way and stare blankly at those of us who DO have the stop sign, waiting for us to go instead of bothering to glance at the corner and see it isn't a four way stop.
Also, of course, the non attentive cell phone user!

1.People who can't make up their minds wether to go on the upper or lower level of the freeway.
2.People who don't know what a school zone is or what the speed limit is for that.
3.People who drive on the access road at 70 miles an hour.
4. My most irritating thing is people who are on that DAMNED cell phone weaving from one lane to another with NO signal and suddenly decide to swing over from the left hand lane all the way over to the right hand because their exit is coming up-never signalling or even looking over to see who was in those other lanes....but at least they didn't drop that cell phone.

The lack of ability to use a turn signal is at epidemic levels.
I can understand speeding to get somewhere faster, not that I condone it.
No signal on a turn or a lange change is dangerous and inconsiderate. It is the equivalent or saying "forget you, I'm changing lanes and I could care less about others".
One story I heard of was a cop in a fairly large city that stopped somebody for not using their turn signal on his last day of work. He went up to the driver, broke off their turn signal lever and said "you weren't using it anyway" and walked back to his cruiser and drove off.
It's probably just an urban legend, but I LOVE that story.

What annoys me most is people that "float" in my blind spot....don't go any faster or any slower----just cruise there, so I have to turn all the way around in my seat to look for them before I can change lanes....

The second most annoying thing is people that turn right on red, just after I get the green light, get right in front of me, and just putt along.....after feeling it was necessary to turn right then and there...

The third most annoying thing is people that pull out of a drive like a bat out of hell (usually cutting in front of oncoming traffic as they do so) only to streak down the road and pull into a parking area only three driveways later....

But I absolutely HATE HATE HATE the azzhats that drive like granny in the fast lane, only to pick up speed and keep pace with me when I try to pass them on the left, out of pure frustration....which is why nothing gives me greater pleasure than when the turbo kicks in..... >:-) and then I pull in front of them and slam on the brakes....>:-)

Typical of a boy to be annoyed by things like that. No those things wouldn't annoy me particularly, everybody has to drive in a way they feel safe and comfortable. Only they can judge if it is safe for them to merge with the traffic. Just because I would have pulled in or got closer to the car in front when stopping, I'm not them so I'm not in a position to judge. I try not to get annoyed by other drivers as it may affect my judgement though obviously people who drive in an unsafe way are a bit upsetting. I would include being in the wrong lane for the speed they are doing in that catagory so I guess we more or less agree there but probably for different reasons.

One thing that isn't strictly speaking a safety issue but does irritate me is when somebody pull out in front of me and then obviously realises they shouldn't have done it so stops in the bit of road I ought to have been on. I'm like "why?" it's one thing to pull out in front of me, I can deal with that, but then stop!!

I'm also a bit baffled when people are pulling onto roundabouts with a lorry along side them going in the same direction, the lorry pulls on to the round about blocking the traffic and they wait for it to get out of the way and see what's coming. I mean whatever it is isn't going to hit them anyway, if something's coming there's a lorry there it will hit first.

I hate it when there are 10 signs reading "Lane Closed Ahead" and people remain in that lane so they don't get in traffic until the lane actually closes and then they expect you to let them in front of you.

I have to totally agree with The Go To Guy, however he forgot to mention the ones that forget to turn off their signal lights and drive for miles with it on. Where I reside, it's classified as a retiement community , we have a major problem with this. (Not meaning to dis the elderly)
This being one of my all time pet peeves, has me feeling very frustrated
quite often.
