a couple of days, generally. I once had a letter go from upstate NY to rural Alaska in three days.

Well I have had letters get there the next day from Oakland sent early in the morning, usually just a couple days. You can guarantee overnight delivery by paying an extra fee at the P.O.

Check www.usps.com, click on "postage calculator", type the zip codes and the approximate weight and it will tell you how many days it will take :D.
