I'm 46 and have been happily married for 16 years. I have 2 great kids, a beautiful house and a holiday home in Australia we visit every year. My life is great, except that recently I have noticed that I'm listenning to "harder" music than usual and I have started "paying attention" when younger women show an interest in me.... HELP!!!

I think all guys go through this when they realize that both their wife and themselves are not spring chickens anymore. Some men also go through "andropause" as they age. You could be in an early stage when your testosterone levels are extremely high and fluctuating, similar to "hot flashes" in women.

It sounds like you may be having one. OR, you are just stressed out and looking for an escape.

Totally normal. However, do you really want to ruin a great marriage with your wife and affect your kids/family?

Honestly, the IDEA of banging a slutty 20 year old is way hotter than actually doing the deed and also dealing with the aftermath.

You could break up your marriage, get an STD that you can pass on to your wife (condoms break, and you'd have to tell her why she'd need to get tested), get a money hungry student pregnant and have to pay child support (if a 20 year old wants to sleep with someone who could be her dad, she usually has psychological issues or wants money), or you could just feel like a pervert and incredibly empty and guilty.

If your wife was horrible, I would say divorce her and go for it once the kids were old enough. However, believe me when I say that it's not worth risking in this case.

Listen to "heavy" music, hell, get a tattoo. Join and gym and workout with your wife so you both look hot. Try role playing in the bedroom. Take a steamy vaction with only you two. Buy her some lingerie.

If she is into it, perhaps you can watch porn together or check out a fetish club (I have no idea how risky you two are).

Ride it out. It will pass. There are lots of fun things you can do at this stage without cheating. Pick up old hobbies. Call old friends. Make new ones.

Ask yourself this question, how would you feel if you lost everything you had right now? Your wife, children, etc. Do you want to be 46 and starting over from square one? That's exactly what you'll be doing if you give into the whole midlife crisis thing. Take a look at some of the midlife losers. lol My dad thought the same thing, now he's a 53 year old guy who is broke & trying his best to hook up with women younger than me. Not a pretty picture, eh? Finding someone who you have geninune love for is hard to find. You've built a life with your wife for the past 16 years. That is rare these days and you should cherish that. The grass is not greener on the other side, believe me. You have what loads of people would give their right arm for! Look at what you have instead of what you could (and what would probably not pan out) have.

By the way, the music thing isn't that big of a deal. Just goes to show that you can always find new art in this world to appreciate no matter what your age.

It's now not simply the auto it is the difference of garments sort and the putting out on the youngsters gatherings and the hair....if there's any....the brush over or...the rug that does not fit. The disdain for females his age. The difference in slang. The angle that every one his son's girlfriends are panting after him. He begins to return directly to all people his daughters age. It is so pitiful. It's the final breath of a dieing libido. And someplace within the heritage there's a spouse who will wait it out and smiles that she now not has to manage the hydraulic disorders. It's fairly paintings for a more youthful gal who has plenty of time on her fingers... with the intention to talk. My first physical activities auto used to be purchased whilst I used to be 24. Hurry up , colossal man.

Next, you'll be paying more attention to how you look. Those are sure signs of mid life crisis. Just think of the impact on your marriage and family if you carry those feelings out. It wil completely destroy your life. Take heart and appreciate your wife and kids more.

You are responding to the flush of adrenalin you get by being noticed because you realize that youth is no longer with you. In my opinion, you do not appreciate where you are in life at this point. You should greatly appreciate what "fruits of labor" you have attained and have the greatest of pride in your marriage and children. Enjoy being admired, just evaluate if a shallow admiration is worth sacrificing your life as you know it. There are many young women who like to manipulate older men in order to get what they have materially. Realize that in their best of desires they would not want you to the depth of feeling your wife and family do. Don't be a schmuck. A man that is easy to get by manipulation is not worth much admiration to anyone in the long run. Be proud but be smarter. Set yourself above petty manipulation by younger girls. What you have now with your family is actually what everyone else desires. Believe me, many more would love to see you lose it!

It is usual, just take care not to do some serious damage to yourself and your family... Stay at the safe side, listen to the music and try to act as with any other temporary illness.
